Photographer’s Statement:

“I actually had to take this Manila Palm Tree photograph from an open window, it provided the proper height and faced the stormy grey sky that perfectly framed the background. Fill-flash was necessary to give details to the fruits and show the green and red colours. In a shot like this, it is necessary to make the subject a little brighter than the background or the subject will blend into the background and not be very interesting—Thus, a +.5 to +1.0 fill boost was added to bring out the colours and details of the subject.”
