Does anyone use Flickr anymore, I mean, Do You Want to download Your Photos from Flickr before they delete them? Here’s how!

Yeah, so Flickr has gone all Crazoid on us who have been members there for years and years.

Flickr, under new management, apparently, has changed its membership options and are basically saying they limit free accounts to 1,000 images, or, they will delete your extra images, or something like that, basically forcing people to pay for a “Pro” Membership.

But Who Cares?!?

At least I don’t. I lost interest in Flickr a LONG TIME AGO!

There is no point for me to load my photos to Flickr. There is no financial prospects for Photographers who work at Photography as part of their livelihood, to waste time and $ with Flickr. That is my opinion.

I would rather load up my images at any number of other sites where there are options to sell my images: EyeEm or PicFair as examples.

However, if you want to keep your photos you spent time uploading to Flickr over these many years, here is how to request a Zip File of your photos.

Download an Entire Album

  1. Mouse over You | select Albums.
  2. Mouse over or open an album.
  3. Click the Download icon .
  4. Click Create zip file.
  5. Wait for the FlickrMail notification that your zip file is ready.
  6. Open the FlickrMail message and click the hyperlink to download it

Download all your Photos

If you’d like to download all of your photos and videos at once, you can request a .zip file of all your data.

  1. Go to your Flickr account settings.
  2. Navigate to the “Your Flickr Data” section on the bottom right-hand side.
  3. Click on the “Request My Flickr Data” button.
  4. Once we’ve finished compiling your data, you’ll receive an email with a link to download the .zip file.

That’s it. I will probably request to download all my photos and then forget about Flickr completely as it is not relevant to me anymore.
